August 2013, Most Summers, solo show, Washburn Cultural Center, Washburn, WI

As the title suggests, the work for this show was done over the course of (most of) many summers. I painted them when visiting family in northern Wisconsin. The locations for the landscape paintings in this show were done in or near the towns of Bayfield, Washburn and Ashland, or in the surrounding countryside, much of which is part of the 1.5 million acres of the Chequamegon National Forest.

October 4, 2013, The Drawing Show, Gallery 1837, Chicago

October is Chicago Artists' Month. I will be showing with some of my favorite Illinois artists: Judy Koon, Don Southard and Lynette Lombard.

October 17, 2013, Responding to Helion, Midwest Paint Group, SIU, Edwardsville IL.

Each member of the Midwest Paint Group will exhibit a work in response to the large Helion painting that two of our members discovered in the library of SIU Edwardsville. The work by the MPG will hang alongside Helion's "Luxembourg Gardens". There will be an artists' talk the night of the opening.

When a multi-storied parking garage obscured the view outside these windows in the South Loop, I was hired to paint this triptych. The new view is from Goose Island looking south across the Chicago river towards downtown.
